Improved Safety Measures and Increased Compliance are a Win for Status Transportation Corp
February 2, 2019Status Trucks to Expand Atlanta Truck and Trailer Repair Facility
May 1, 2019Status Transportation would like to welcome you to 2019 with good news: due to our improved CSA scores, starting 11/2018, the pull over rate at the scales was decreased almost twice!
During 2018, around 20 guys per month would get pulled into the scale for an inspection. Around 240 inspections per year total. Which meant that every truck in the fleet would get pulled over at least 2-3 times per year.
Starting 2019 the pull over rate at the scales was cut in half to an average 10 trucks per month.
So the best news is that your chances to get pulled in for an inspection went down to ONLY ONCE A YEAR.
Of course… if your lights are working and your tires are not flat…
But all jokes aside…
We would like to use this opportunity to thank you all for your understanding, cooperation and efforts to make this happen.
Back in 2016 when we first took the decision to change our CSA scores for the better, the task was quite difficult to tackle. We had a few scores in the red and we had to draft up a strategy how to get them back into green.
To address the Maintenance Score we took the path of implementing Quarterly Inspections. We also set a new preventative maintenance standard for our trailers – making sure the trailers will be good to go for the next three months until the next inspection. In addition to that, we set a list of approved shops to do your inspections at, and made it mandatory to get a new inspection done upon orientation.
We are proud to say that due to the implemented policies and the hard work everyone put in, we were able to achieve our goal and enjoy the scores that we have today.
Thank you all and we are looking forward to a prosperous 2019!
